Racine County should be at the top of your list this season. Just under two hours from Downtown Chicago, it offers a wide variety of unique fall activities for all ages. Whether you’re sipping your way through a local wine experience, picking the perfect pumpkin, or getting delightfully lost in a corn maze, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Make Racine County your go-to destination for autumn fun!
Apple Holler
This place is an Autumn wonderland! You can easily spend few hours here with family or friends as there is so much to do. We started our day picking up fresh and straight from the oven pastries which were incredible. Later, we jumped on a tractor drawn train to check out the apple orchards. I was amazed how big their orchard is and how many different types of apples they have. Then, we had to say hi to the baby goats which actually have a cool bridge they climb (unique to see!). There are also other activities such as Skee-Ball, corn maze, pedal karts, and so much more. Also, if you get hungry, they have a big restaurant that serves all kinds of deliciousness.

Swan’s Pumpkin Farm
This place specializes in pumpkins and all kinds of family fun. Their pumpkins are very well priced and there also have a ton of variety of them, so you will definitely find what you are looking for. Grab a wheelbarrow and start pumpkin shopping! Their corn maze was super cool and it was actually not that easy to figure out. Kam and I loved getting lost here! They also offer hayrides, pony rides, and more.

Spirits of Norway Vineyard
Did you know this vineyard is the only one in the area? Hence why you need to pay them a visit! Randy, who is the owner, is the nicest man we have met who was spoke so passionately about the wines he makes. The grounds are beautiful and well taken care of and there are also 2 furry friends (Molly and Max: cutest pups) that will greet you during your visit. They offer Tour N Taste Experience twice a month April-October where you get to try variety of their wines, learn more about the process of making the wine, and stroll around the grounds in a peaceful setting. If you love wine, this has to be a stop during your getaway.

Kyle’s Pumpkin Farm
Formerly known as the Land of the Giants Pumpkin Farm, this place has some of the biggest pumpkins you will ever see; some of them are prize winners, which is so unique to see. There are lots of pumpkins and gourds to choose from for decorations or carving or even consuming! Additionally, there is a kids indoor play area, hayrides, barrel rides and a corn maze.

Jacobson Orchards
This orchard is probably one of the best maintained orchards we have ever been to. You will get picked up by a tractor that will take you on a hayride to the orchard. Every week you can pick different apples as they open sections as the apples are ready, so you can visit multiple times in the season. They also press their own cider-yum!

Crossover Cantina & Eatery
To finish your full adventures day, Crossover Cantina will be able to refuel you with delicious grub. Their menu offers authentic Mexican cuisine along with traditional American fare. Our server Kent was phenomenal and even recommended a unique entrée for Kam who was pretty undecided on what to get. It was the perfect way to finish our day before heading home.

We hope you have a blast while visiting here and checking out all the fall activities Racine County has to offer.
XoXo
