Discovery Days is an interactive fair to discover, play, and learn. Admission includes free tours of our gardens, alpaca pastures, bee hives, and renewable energy features—plus fun activities like scavenger hunts, making alpaca beads, wind dangles, and more. Additional activities like, crafting a backyard bird feeder, trying hammer dyeing, etc are available for a small materials fee.
The Eco-Justice Center of Racine is a 15-acre, renewable energy, organic teaching farm and home to alpacas, goats, chickens and more. Through our mission of Sowing Community for a Fertile Future, we help children to connect with nature and nutrition. We run a summer Farm Corps program for teenagers to learn organic growing practices as well as cooking and selling of produce. We also run day camps for children to learn about nutrition and food sources while interacting with animals and host field trips where children discover how plants, animals, and people get energy to grow and be healthy!
